This full-scale outdoor renovation in Salisbury, Midlothian included a new TimberTech deck, Belgard paver patio with seat walls and fire pit, detached shed with James Hardie siding, updated fencing, and a complete front-facing siding upgrade—all designed for low-maintenance living and year-round enjoyment.
When a Salisbury homeowner in Midlothian reached out to us for help reimagining their outdoor space, they had a clear vision—and a strong desire for a space that could serve as an extension of their home. The original setup, including an aging deck, a disconnected patio, and a front-facing fence, no longer suited their needs. They wanted something cohesive, functional, and beautiful. Our team got to work designing a layout that would bring all the elements together.
We started by removing the existing structures to make way for a brand-new outdoor living remodel. At the heart of the new layout is a custom TimberTech Pro Legacy deck in Tigerwood, selected for its rich tones and low-maintenance appeal. Paired with a TimberTech Impression Railing System in Black, the new deck created a warm, welcoming platform for outdoor dining and relaxing.
From there, we transitioned into the patio, built with Belgard London Cobble Pavers in James River, framed with a contrasting Chocolate border. This foundation set the stage for a truly versatile space, including Belgard Highland Stone seat walls, a smoker enclosure, log storage, and grill stations—all designed in the same James River colorway for consistency. The addition of a Belgard Aspen Stone Fire Pit Kit brought a central gathering point to life, while thoughtfully placed outdoor lighting allowed the space to shine after sunset.
Storage and function were key considerations. We built a detached shed clad in James Hardie Horizontal Lap Siding in Navajo Beige with ColorPlus Technology, complete with a ProVia EcoLite Window for light and ventilation. On the front of the home, we replaced existing siding with HardiePlank Smooth Beaded Lap Siding in Platinum Beige, selected from the Dream Collection for its elevated curb appeal.
To finish the transformation, we enclosed the backyard with black aluminum fencing by AFS, creating both security and visual cohesion.
The result? A fully integrated outdoor living remodel in Midlothian designed for hosting, relaxing, and day-to-day living.
