Custom Master Bath & Powder Room Remodel Featuring an Integrated Coffee Bar

A Unique Master Retreat in Powderham

This highly customized master bathroom remodel in Midlothian’s Powderham neighborhood combines rich, traditional finishes with unique lifestyle features. Built for a fantastic repeat client, who loved our work so much we are currently remodeling her other bathrooms. This project boasts a luxurious walk-in shower with striking glass mosaic details and a one-of-a-kind integrated coffee bar, creating the ultimate morning retreat.

When designing this space, the homeowner wanted a bathroom that catered perfectly to her morning routine. To achieve this, we designed an adjacent, integrated coffee bar area within the master bath layout. This highly unique feature allows the homeowner to brew a fresh cup of coffee the moment she steps out of the shower. You can even see this space featured in our Company Story Video!

Rich Cabinetry and Granite Details

The space is anchored by elegant, traditional cabinetry. For the master bath vanities and the unique coffee bar, we utilized Wellborn Premier Series cabinetry in a beautiful (and now discontinued) Cherry wood, finished in a rich Dark Charcoal. These custom cabinets are paired flawlessly with St. Cecilia granite countertops featuring a classic pencil round edge. Under-mount Kohler Caxton rectangular sinks and Delta Cassidy widespread faucets in an Oil Rubbed Bronze finish complete the sophisticated vanity stations. As part of this renovation, we also updated the home's powder bath using Wellborn Premier Cherry cabinets in a warm Cocoa Java finish, paired with Giallo Ornamental granite.

Luxurious Custom Shower with Glass Mosaic

The focal point of the master bathroom is the expansive custom shower. We enclosed the space with a Southeastern Aluminum Signature Hinge frameless glass door, ensuring a bright and open feel while maintaining durability. Inside, the shower features a built-in bench, a custom waterproof niche, and a stunning tile design. The walls are wrapped in Atlas Concorde Motion Desert porcelain tile laid in a horizontal 1/3 stair-step pattern, while the floor features an Edimax Slaty Ochre mosaic. To tie the design together and add a touch of artistry, we highlighted the walls and the custom niche with a beautiful Bestview Stix Camel stone and glass mosaic accent.

To maximize comfort, the shower is outfitted with a Delta Cassidy shower head, shower controls, and a versatile H2Okinetic hand-held shower system on an adjustable slide bar, all finished in Oil Rubbed Bronze. Finally, to maximize space and accessibility to the bathroom, we installed a smooth-gliding, traditional Colonial 6-panel sliding barn door with dark oil-rubbed bronze decorative hardware.
