A Gardener’s Oasis: All-Season Sunroom & Backyard Transformation

For this homeowner, the backyard wasn't just a yard; it was a carefully cultivated sanctuary. The goal of this project was to create a space that allowed her to enjoy her garden regardless of the season—whether in the bloom of spring or the chill of winter.

We designed and built a custom space that serves as the perfect viewing gallery. By replacing the existing deck with an insulated, glass-enclosed structure, we provided a comfortable front-row seat to nature that is protected from bugs, pollen, and harsh weather.

To fully capture the beauty of the landscaping, we utilized the Betterliving Alpha system. As a specialist vinyl sunroom builder, we know the importance of maximizing views. A key feature of this design is the glass knee walls—tempered glass panels installed below the main windows. This ensures that the view is never obstructed, allowing light to flood the space and creating the sensation of being outdoors while enjoying indoor climate control.

Year-Round Glass Room and Garden Room Design

This project went beyond just the structure; it was about cohesive garden room design. To fully realize the homeowner's vision of a backyard oasis, we executed a comprehensive exterior renovation. We installed a maintenance-free Wolf PVC deck in Weathered Ipe with a Black Walnut border, creating a stylish transition from the year-round glass room to the yard.

Additionally, we constructed a custom gable-roofed shed, sided to match the home, providing ample space for gardening tools and supplies. A new aggregate concrete sidewalk and patio were poured to connect the driveway, sunroom, and backyard, ensuring smooth flow throughout the property.
