A Bold and Timeless Culinary Space

Before the renovation, the existing kitchen featured a layout that didn't quite capture the homeowners' vibrant style or maximize the room’s potential. To breathe new life into the heart of this Henrico home, we designed a striking, high-contrast aesthetic using premium Showplace Overlay cabinetry in the versatile Pendelton door style. By anchoring the island and lower perimeter with a rich, bold Naval blue finish and pairing it with crisp White upper cabinets, the room instantly feels both grounded and incredibly spacious. The elegant Jeffery Alexander Stanton pulls in a Satin Bronze finish provide the perfect warm, metallic accent against the dark blue base.

Elevated Finishes and Classic Tile

To perfectly complement the dramatic cabinetry, we installed beautiful Italian Collection Calacatta Aria quartz countertops. The subtle veining in the stone ties the two-tone palette together effortlessly. For the wall treatments, the homeowners opted for a timeless, textured look by utilizing Roca Flow 3x12 white tile for the backsplash. Installed in a horizontal half-offset pattern with bright white grout, the tile adds a classic, highly reflective backdrop that bounces the new Tamlite LED lighting and under-cabinet tape lights throughout the space.

Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living

One of the primary goals of this massive renovation was to connect the newly updated kitchen with the backyard. To bridge the gap between the interior and exterior, we installed a grand ProVia Endure 4-lite center active patio door. This expansive wall of glass floods the kitchen with natural daylight and provides a wide, inviting threshold that seamlessly leads guests from the kitchen island directly into the brand-new outdoor living area.

An Expansive Multi-Season Retreat

Stepping through the new patio door, the original basic deck has been completely replaced by a breathtaking custom screened porch addition. Designed for ultimate relaxation, the new structure features soaring skylights and a custom ceiling fan, ensuring the space feels open, airy, and comfortable in multiple seasons.

We utilized low-maintenance TimberTech Edge Prime+ composite decking in the refreshing shade of Sea Salt Gray for the flooring, surrounded by a sleek, white TimberTech Impressions Rail Express system that maximizes safety while preserving the view. Finally, to ground the new porch into the landscape, we constructed a gorgeous Belgard Holland paver walkway in Sable Blend, laid in a sophisticated herringbone pattern with a single sailor course border.
