It is always an incredible honor when former clients invite us back into their homes! We recently had the privilege of working with a returning Paragon family to complete the look of their beautiful first floor. By integrating thoughtful kitchen storage, a highly organized walk-in pantry, and a welcoming custom mudroom, we delivered a cohesive, tailored design that effortlessly supports their daily lifestyle.
Completing the Culinary Experience
To elevate and complete the look of the heart of the home, we integrated beautiful Wellborn Premier Maple cabinetry in a bright Glacier finish. Paired with Alabaster quartz countertops and a glossy white Genesi ceramic backsplash, the space feels incredibly fresh, cohesive, and timeless.
Smart Storage & Pet-Friendly Design
A true Paragon project is engineered around how a family actually lives. We incorporated hidden functional details like an integrated drawer docking station to keep devices off the counter. Even better, we designed a custom touch-to-open toe-kick drawer that houses a pet feeding center; complete with an internal food storage bin. Making mealtime a breeze for the family's adorable dog!
The Ultimate Walk-In Pantry
Tucked behind a gorgeous custom Red Oak pocket door with reeded glass, the newly constructed pantry is an organizational masterpiece. Basking in natural light from the window, this U-shaped prep space maximizes vertical storage with warm Caramel-stained oak floating shelves and features polished Milas Gold quartz countertops. The base cabinetry is packed with roll-out trays and half-moon blind corner pull-outs to ensure every ingredient and small appliance is easily accessible, while the Soft Brass Minka Lavery fixture provides a warm overhead glow.
A Welcoming Drop Zone
The newly designed mudroom ensures a seamless, clutter-free transition into the home. Using matching Glacier cabinetry and a solid Oak bench seat, this area provides an elegant, highly functional drop zone with clear, beautiful sightlines directly into the walk-in pantry. To perfectly tie all of these newly renovated spaces together, we sanded and refinished the entire first-floor hardwood, applying a custom Weathered Oak and Nutmeg water-based polyurethane blend for a flawless finish.

Cabinetry: Wellborn Premier Maple cabinetry in a crisp Glacier finish. The kitchen features partial-overlay Everett doors, while the mudroom and pantry utilize full-overlay Collins doors.
Wood Accents: Custom Oak floating shelves in the pantry and a solid Oak mudroom bench, both finished in a warm "Caramel" stain.
Countertops: Polished Quartz featuring an eased edge (Alabaster in the kitchen; Milas Gold with a 4" backsplash in the pantry).
Backsplash: Mosaic Tile Genesi White (2"x10") glossy ceramic tile, installed in a classic horizontal running bond pattern.
Hardware: Amerock Westerly 3.75" cabinet pulls in a Golden Champagne finish.
Flooring: Refinished existing and newly laced-in hardwood flooring across the first floor, custom-stained in a blend of Weathered Oak and Nutmeg.
Lighting: Minka Lavery Key Largo semi-flush mount in Soft Brass (Pantry) and a Bellevue 2-Light Drum in Natural Brass (Mudroom).
Custom Doors: A custom Masonite Half-Lite Two-Panel pocket door featuring reeded glass and a Red Oak frame stained to match the pantry shelving.
