We transformed a cluttered, angled kitchen footprint into an open-concept culinary space centered around a massive custom island. Featuring a mixed two-tone cabinetry design, smart storage solutions, and high-end integrated lighting, this comprehensive remodel delivers a bright, sophisticated retreat tailored perfectly for everyday cooking and entertaining.
A Total Layout Transformation
Before, the original kitchen featured a segmented, angled peninsula that restricted traffic flow and created a cluttered visual footprint. By removing the restrictive angles, our design-build team was able to completely open up the room and install a stunning, long kitchen island. This expansive island completely transforms how the room functions, providing massive amounts of uninterrupted Blue River Granite prep space while offering comfortable, generous seating for guests.
Striking Cabinetry & Mixed Finishes
To keep this large space feeling both grounded and airy, we utilized a two-tone cabinetry design. The base cabinets are finished in a rich, gray Castle stain, while the uppers are painted in a crisp Alabaster white. The upper wall features beautiful glass-front cabinets installed just below the crown molding to display decorative pieces. This crisp white woodwork is perfectly complemented by the Elon Optics Sky blue tile backsplash, installed vertically for a fresh, modern aesthetic that draws the eye upward.
Layered, Smart Lighting Integration
A true Paragon Construction build relies on exceptional lighting design. We integrated tunable-white Task LED undercabinet lighting to perfectly illuminate the blue vertical backsplash and prep areas, alongside integrated in-cabinet lighting to highlight the beautiful glass display uppers. These are easily controlled via a wireless smart receiver system. Overhead, brushed brass Urban Dome pendants tie in beautifully with the Satin Bronze cabinet hardware and Champagne Bronze plumbing fixtures, delivering a cohesive, high-end finish to this breathtaking remodel.

Chester Rennovation Details
Project Type: Kitchen Remodel
Cabinetry: Wellborn Premier cabinetry in the Galena Square door style. The design utilizes mixed colors, featuring stained Maple base cabinets in a gray Castle finish and painted MDF wall and tall cabinets in an Alabaster white finish.
Countertops: Blue River Granite featuring a half-bullnose edge for a smooth, classic profile.
Backsplash: Elon Tile & Stone Optics glossy ceramic tile in the color Sky (2.6" x 13"), installed in a vertical pattern extending to the bottom of the wall cabinets and up to the ceiling around the sink window.
Sink & Plumbing: A white, 33" Bocchi Contempo Step Rim Fireclay apron-front sink, paired with a Delta Kylo Touchless pull-down faucet and matching air switch in a Champagne Bronze finish.
Hardware: Elements Naples cabinet bar pulls in a Satin Bronze finish to complement the plumbing fixtures.
Appliances: A new black GE Profile 36" Built-In Touch Control Induction Cooktop and a GE Universal 36" Telescopic Downdraft System, seamlessly integrated with the homeowners' existing refrigerator, dishwasher, and wall oven combination.
Lighting: Brushed Brass Urban Dome pendant lights from Shades of Light, paired with Tamlite color-selectable panel ceiling lights and Leviton Decora Wi-Fi smart switches.
